Ronald Wissinger
Ronald H. Wissinger, 73, of Butler, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at his residence with his loved ones by his side.
Born on June 15, 1950, in Natrona Heights, he was the son of the late Lee Wissinger and the late Della Simmers.
Ronald was a retired corrections officer in the criminal justice system, and most recently worked as a driver at Alliance for Nonprofit Resources for the past 10 years. Outside of work, he was an avid softball player, multiple-time World Champion and MVP. Through softball, he forged lifetime friendships and relationships with many, especially his brother Ken (Beaver). He also enjoyed golfing with his many friends and coaching his grandson’s baseball team. Ronald was inducted into the Butler County Sports Hall of Fame and the Amateur Softball Association of Pennsylvania Hall of Fame for his outstanding athletic achievements. He was also an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Judy Gibson-Buzanoski; two daughters, Macey Buzanoski and Megan Buzanoski; grandson and best buddy, Brody Buzanoski; three brothers, Gary, Ken (Sharon) and Ricky (Dawn) Wissinger; three sisters, Judy (Fran) Roudybush, Joyce (Russell) Sasse and Linda (Jerry “Squeak”) Coward; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Wissinger; as well as his mother-in-law, Vivian Gibson, and his father-in-law, Gerald Gibson.
WISSINGER — Friends and family of Ronald H. Wissinger, who died Saturday, June 24, 2023, are invited to attend visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
Funeral services will follow immediately at 7 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bob Edmundson officiating.
Officers and members of the American Legion Post 117, American Legion Post 778 and VFW Post 249 will conduct military services at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
