3:30 a.m. Sunday - Darlene White, 45, of Brady Township was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on West Cunningham Street. She was also cited for driving the wrong way.2:39 a.m. Sunday - William Self, IV, 35, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on Eau Claire Street. He was also cited for failing to stop at a stop sign1:45 a.m. Sunday - Randy Fair, 29, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on Pillow Street. He was also cited for careless driving.

1:57 a.m. Saturday - Joan Lee Schaffer, 47, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her vehicle struck a utility pole along Old Plank Road. Police said Schaffer fled the scene but was later found at her home. She also faces charges of accidents involving damage to unattended property, failure to notify police of an accident and careless driving.

2:30 a.m. Saturday - A car driven by Victoria Shumaker, no age given, of New Bethlehem struck a deer on Hawk Hill Road in Madison Township, Clarion County, and then hit a fence. Shumaker, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.

6:45 a.m. Sunday - Jay Michael Belschner, 32, of Sarver was reportedly injured in an assault on Route 8068 near Route 28 in Harrison Township, Allegheny County.Belschner said he "stopped to assist a tow truck with a motorist and upon exiting his vehicle was struck from behind on the head with an unknown object," a police report said. He was treated for injuries at Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.Police provided no other information this morning. Trooper Roger Kaufman, the investigating officer, could not be reached for comment;10:25 p.m. Saturday - Taylor Townsend, 19, of Templeton was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his sport utility vehicle struck a ditch along Route 85 in Rayburn Township, Armstrong County.4 a.m. Saturday - Jeffery McCullough, 38, of Elderton was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car struck a gas meter and utility pole along Route 210 in Elderton, Armstrong County.McCullough was treated for unknown injuries at Indiana Hospital. The crash closed the road just south of Route 422 for several hours.12:33 a.m. Saturday - William Weber Jr., 42, of Sarver was arrested for driving under the influence and several undisclosed traffic violations on Freeport Road in Freeport, Armstrong County.

1:30 p.m. Saturday - A youth who police did not identify was seriously injured when the all-terrain vehicle he was driving struck the side of a pickup truck at Flick and Petersburg roads in Sandy Creek Township, Mercer County.The youth, who was thrown off the ATV and landed in a field, was flown by medical helicopter to Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh.The pickup, meanwhile, after being struck by the ATV, slammed into a utility pole and rolled onto its side. Janice Sanders, 29, of Clarks Mills, the driver, and Tracey Smith, 29, of Orlando, Fla., a passenger, suffered minor injuries.Sept. 11 - A portable electric heater was taken from a rental trailer on Perry Highway in Springfield Township, Mercer County. Harold Blake of Volant owns the heater, which was stolen between Aug. 15 and Sept. 11.
