Reservation date set for AlamedaBUTLER TWP — The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department will accept reservations for Alameda Park shelters, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Feb. 26 at the Butler County Government Center.After that session, reservations may be made from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at the Alameda Park office. Rental prices and alcohol permits are unchanged from last year. Call the department at 724-284-5383.
Charges are held against ex-employeeCRANBERRY TWP — A woman accused of burglarizing a pizza shop where she used to be a manager appeared in district court last week.Nadia Errafaq, 23, of Cranberry Township was held for court on charges of felony burglary, conspiracy and trespassing.Errafaq and Sarah Landa, 22, of Pittsburgh are accused of burglarizing Vocelli Pizza on Route 19 on April 6, 2015.Police allegedly identified them on video surveillance footage gaining forced entry into the business twice that night and taking $609 from the safe and cash register. They also allegedly caused $700 damage to the back door, according to court records.Both women allegedly admitted to the crime and provided a statement.Landa last week appeared in county court where she pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property; the other charges against her were dismissed.
