Karen L. Lewis, 64, of Butler passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

She was born Sept. 26, 1958, in Butler, the daughter of the late John Varljen and Shirley (Beggs) Varljen of Butler.

Karen was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. In early years, she worked at Army Navy Store and Home Depot. She loved flowers, gardening, crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her mother of Butler; her husband, Daniel J. Lewis; a daughter, Nicole Andres; five grandchildren, Kayleigh and Mason Lewis, Madelyn, Savannah, and Nataleigh Andres; three brothers, Robert (Min) Varlljen of Kentucky, Charles (Darlene) Varljen of North Carolina, Daniel J. Varljen of East Butler, two uncles, several nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father; her son, Michael Joseph Lewis; and a brother, Terry Varljen; and son-in-law, Troy Andres.

LEWIS — Friends of Karen L. Lewis, who died Sunday, June 25, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.

Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. Paul Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.

Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery.
