Alice Priscilla Snow
Alice Priscilla Snow, 89, of Sunnyview Home, formerly of Bruin and East Brady, died at 5:20 a.m. Saturday at Sunnyview Home, where she had lived since August 2005.
She was born in Toby Township, Clarion County, on June 29, 1918, and was a daughter of the late Col. Switzer and Maggie Saylor Switzer.
She was a Protestant and had attended the Bruin and East Brady United Methodist churches.
Following the death of her husband in 1967, she served as a nurses aide to many folks in their own homes in Butler County.
She married Paul Edmond Snow May 15, 1940, in Robinson Chapel near Parker, and he preceded her in death May 4, 1967.
Surviving are a daughter, Beverly Faye Stanley of Hudson, Fla.; a foster daughter and her husband, Phyllis and Ralph Brown of Butler; grandchildren, Raymond Grossman and his wife, Mandy, of Gohutta, Ga., and Amy Grossman of Warren, Ohio; two great-grandchildren, Michelle and Carey Grossman, both of Ohio; five foster grandchildren; eight foster great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The last surviving member of a family of 12, she was preceded in death by eight brothers, Preston, Norman, Fleming, Russell, George, Eugene, Paul and Arthur Switzer and three sisters, Mrs. Grace Stover, Mrs. Mabel Myers and infant Edith Mae Switzer.
<B>SNOW</B>— Private funeral services for Alice Priscilla Snow, who died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, will be held at the <B>Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home</B>, Petrolia, with Roger Whited, a member of the Martinsurg Community Church, Bruin, officiating.Burial will follow in the Bear Creek Cemetery, Petrolia. Memorial donations may be made to the VNA Hospice, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001.
