Weiland 60th anniversary
Donald and Emma Weiland of Butler recently celebrated 60 years of marriage at Conley's Resort Inn with a surprise lunch.
Donald Weiland married the former Emma Glynn on June 1, 1949, at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Sugarcreek Township.
They have five children, Elaine Minto of Butler, Joan Anderson of Lower Burrell, Judy Green of Butler, Jack Weiland of Butler and Alice Nelson of Tampa, Fla. A son, Paul Weiland, is deceased.
They also have 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandson.
Weiland is retired from the silicon maintenance department of AK Steel. He is a member of Chicora V.F.W., Chicora American Legion, Chicora Senior Center and the East Butler Fireman's Club.
Mrs. Weiland is a homemaker and a member of the Chicora Senior Center.
The Weilands are members of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
