Covert 50th anniversary
Thomas and Helen Covert of Chicora celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner.
Covert married the former Helen Leitem on May 7, 1960, at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
They have four children, Nadine Ann Neff of Chicora, John Covert of Boyers, Benjamin Covert of Chicora and Bernard Covert of Chicora.
They also have nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Covert is retired from Armco Steel. He is a member of North Butler Presbyterian Church. He is a member of the Happy Hunters Club, Moose Lodge 962, VDSSA, East Butler Fireman's Club, AARP and the Double "D" Saddle Club.
Mrs. Covert is retired from Sears. She is a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church. In addition to bowling, she is a member of the Rubber Dolls greeting card club, Moose Lodge 962 and the AARP.
