Perry 90th birthday

Alice Perry

Alice Perry of Butler celebrated her 90th birthday July 8 with family.

The former Alice Bowser was married to Raymond Perry for 55 years. He is deceased.

She worked at Woolworth’s and Penn Champ and volunteered at PARC in Butler. She enjoys crocheting and has won ribbons at the Butler Fair in the past for her crocheted works and various canned goods.

She has made and donated many lap robes to the veterans at VA Butler Healthcare. She also created and donated an American flag in honor of her late husband, which is currently on display at the American Legion Post 117 in Butler.

She has one child, Grace Valunsky of Chicora. She also has two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, with a third due in October.

She enjoys her family and traveled to Hawaii to visit her great-grandson and family.

She has a pen pal in Iowa and has built a relationship with her and her family.

She belongs to the American Legion Auxiliary and the East Butler Fireman’s Auxiliary. Mrs. Perry belongs to North Butler Presbyterian Church.
