A singer/songwriter acoustic show by area musicians Tom Panei, Ben Vlaesek and Shane Alexander is planned for 7 p.m. today in the Cornerstone Commons ballroom. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets fare $20 and are available at Cummings and Mimosas on Main Street and at Dave Sloan’s Guitar Emporium in Center Township. Any available tickets will be sold at the door. Thursdays in the Park Concert Series in Cranberry Township hosts the 60-member Pittsburgh Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, whose original July 26 performance was cancelled due to rain, at 7 p.m. today at the Rotary Amphitheatre in the Community Park. Likewise, the Aug. 9 concert by Jill West and the Blues Attack, also cancelled due to weather, has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Sept. 6. Admission and parking are free. Guests are to take their own lawn chairs or blankets. Rotary members will operate a refreshment stand at the concert site. Call 724-776-4806.

Singer, songwriter and instrumentalist Tony Barge performs from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the East Butler Fireman’s Club on Grant Street in East Butler.

Rockin’ the Rose Concert Series at Chicora Medical Center presents Darren Miller and Craig Davison of Attagurl Rex playing everything from oldies to rock with their new band, Boofer, on Aug. 30 outdoors at the facility at 160 Medical Center Drive, Chicora. Take chairs or blankets; the lawn seating is first-come, first-served. Refreshments will be available at the tent provided by the medical center’s neighborhoods.
