Metrick

Carla Lee Metrick, 72, of Butler, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023, at UPMC Presbyterian, in Pittsburgh.

She was born Sept. 19, 1950, in Butler, the daughter of the late Michael J. and Clara "Dolly" (Ruby) DeRita.

Carla worked at MarJay's and Montgomery Ward Beauty Salon; then she owned and operated Carla Lee's Beauty Salon. After closing her salon, she retired from USIS. Carla was a member of Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church and the Woodland Quilters at Lutherlyn. She enjoyed riding the motorcycle with her husband. Carla loved reading books.

Surviving are her husband, John Daniel Metrick, of Butler; her niece, Tracy (James) Williams, of Allison Park; her nephew, Christopher (Jennifer) Fleeger, of Slippery Rock; her sister, Michele DeRita, of Colliers, W.Va.; and numerous nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Frances (DeRita) and her husband, John "Jack" Fleeger.

METRICK — Friends of Carla Lee Metrick, who died Thursday, June 22, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church, 727 Old Route 422 West, Butler.

Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
