Trail workday seeks volunteers
A workday on the Butler-Freeport Community Trail will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 24.
Those who wish to help mulch; remove weeds; place stone around pavilions, benches and picnic tables; and other tasks should meet at the caboose near the Cabot trailhead.
Volunteers are not required to bring tools, but shovels, rakes, pitchforks, weed whackers and wheelbarrows are needed. Those planning to attend also should bring water, gloves and safety glasses.
Those who use the trail are reminded that Kaufman Drive trailhead parking remains closed until further notice, as roadwork is ongoing at the site.
