SENTENCE COURT
The following defendants were sentenced last week by Butler County Common Pleas Judges Timothy McCune and Kelley Streib.
John D. Hughes, 38, of Erie, was sentenced to serve 24 months of probation and pay fines totaling $400 after pleading guilty to terroristic threats and simple assault charges filed in two cases by Middlesex Township police following incidents on Feb. 5 and 7, 2022.
George Edward Smith, 36, of Butler, was sentenced to serve six months of probation, pay a $1,000 fine and complete a victim impact panel after pleading guilty to a DUI charge filed by state police following a May 1, 2021, incident in Slippery Rock Township.
Travis Gene Miller, 32, of Koppel, Beaver County, was sentenced to serve nine to 23 months and 15 days in prison after pleading guilty to a criminal trespass charge filed by state police following a July 28, 2019, incident in Connoquenessing Township.
Collin James Smith, 25, of Mars, was sentenced to serve 60 months of probation, including 105 days of house arrest, pay a $1,500 fine, and complete 40 hours of community service and a victim impact panel after pleading guilty to his second DUI offense filed by Adams Township police following a Jan. 29, 2022, incident.
William James Warren Jr., 25, of McKees Rocks, Allegheny County, was sentenced to serve six months of probation and pay a $50 fine after pleading guilty to charges of firearms not to be carried without a license and possession of a controlled substance filed by state police following a May 29, 2022, incident in Jackson Township.
Josh David Smith, 42, of Evans City, was sentenced to serve six months of probation, including 35 days of house arrest, pay a $1,000 fine, and complete 40 hours of community service and a victim impact panel after pleading guilty to a DUI charge filed by Cranberry Township police following an Aug. 30, 2022, incident.
Michael A. Ingrassia, 40, of Seven Fields, was sentenced to serve six months of probation, including 35 days of house arrest followed by 24 months of probation, pay fines totaling $1,500, and complete 40 hours of community service and a victim impact panel after pleading guilty to charges of accidents involving injury and DUI filed by Cranberry Township police following a Jan. 12, 2023, incident.
