Harrisville man accused of burglarizing Slippery Rock apartment

State police accused a Harrisville man of burglarizing a Slippery Rock apartment on Thursday, June 15, and removing hundreds of dollars worth of items.

On Monday, Robert T.F. Coulter, 20, was charged with felonies burglary and criminal trespass, and misdemeanors theft and criminal mischief in connection to the incident.

Residents of the apartment told police they returned home Thursday night to a damaged window, which was removed and placed on a bean bag sofa inside the house. They reported that the burglary likely took place between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. that day, the affidavit said.

Police said one resident was missing multiple gaming items, including an Xbox, controller and gaming headset. Another resident reported a speaker, gray backpack and pink Taser missing.

In total, the items amounted to $750 in value, documents showed.

Surveillance footage viewed by police showed a male outside the apartment around 11 a.m. Thursday. He attempts to open several windows, eventually succeeding and leaving with the reported items through the door.

Through the help of Slippery Rock Borough police and several public photos on Facebook, state police identified the man as Coulter.

A preliminary hearing for Coulter has not been scheduled.
