Doris Mulneix

We, her children, can say the same about our mother. She embodied humility, compassion, kindness and love, and we will miss her dearly.
Doris J. Mulneix (Wonderling), 95, of Renfrew, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023, while under the care of Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
Born July 12, 1927, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Harry Carl and Julia (Webb) Wonderling.
Doris was married to the late William “Frank” Mulneix, who passed away in 1976.
Doris was a member of Connoquenessing United Methodist Church, she belonged to the woman’s society, sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. She worked for Bell Telephone as an operator and retired after 20 years of service. Her hobbies included painting, knitting, reading and gardening. But above all else, family meant everything to her.
Doris leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Donald C. Mulneix (Bonnie) of Florida, William “Dan” Mulneix (Kendra) of Butler, Melissa Towns (John) of Westminster, Md., Julie Gieger (Arno) of Westerville, Ohio, and Larry Rettig (Carol) of Fenelton, who was like a son to her; along with her 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by her brother, William Wonderling; and her two sisters, Pat Dail and Rita Howard.
MULNEIX — A private service will be held in honor of Doris J. Mulneix (Wonderling), who died Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the family’s convenience.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.
