11:07 p.m. Tuesday — Patricia Steinheiser, 48, of Butler was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on North Main Street.11 p.m. Monday — Earl Richards, 52, of Lyndora was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, violating restrictions on alcoholic beverages, driving through a red light and driving without a license following a traffic stop on West Cunningham Street.

12:36 a.m. Wednesday — David Inserra, 20, and Douglas Boehlert, 21, both of New York, were charged with drug possession following a traffic stop on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Police found about five pounds of marijuana, with an estimated street value of $20,000, in the vehicle. The men were arraigned before District Judge Kevin O'Donnell and jailed in Butler County Prison each on $100,000 cash surety bond.Wednesday — Leeann Parisi, 27, of Cabot was charged with two counts of theft by unlawful taking after allegedly stealing $80 from the wallet of John McClafferty, 84, at his Fenelton residence during the week of Nov. 21 and $34 during the night of Dec. 19.Tuesday — Someone stole $209 from the purse of Patricia Smith at her office at 851 Evans City Road between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Anyone with information about the theft should call police at 724-284-8100.1:15 a.m. Monday — Wagner Electric reported the theft of an unspecified amount of copper from its Stanford Road site in Muddy Creek Township. Anyone with information about the theft should call state police at 724-284-8100.

6:03 a.m. Dec. 14 — A horse-drawn carriage driven by John Milletta, 50, of Sharon and a PennDOT dump truck driven by Jonathan Byler, 32, of New Wilmington collided on New Castle-Mercer Road in Springfield Township. Neither driver nor the horse were injured. The only damage was to the carriage's right rear wheel, which was broken.

6 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Kate Law, 25, of Pittsburgh struck a deer on Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township. Law was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
