DONEGAL TWP — A collision between a car and a tractor-trailer on Route 68 this morning left one person dead.

According to authorities, the female driver of the car, whose name was not released, died at the scene.

The tractor-trailer appeared to be traveling westbound near O’Donnell Road. The smashed car stopped in a grassy area off the road.

Chicora Volunteer Fire Department and Chicora Ambulance responded to the 6:51 a.m. call. State police are investigating the cause.
