William Dean Lehman, 78, of Harmony, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023.

Bill was born Oct. 23, 1944, in New Castle, son of the late Robert Joseph Lehman and Helen Devonia (Alben) Lehman.

Bill grew up in Portersville, and proudly served our country in the U.S. Army, spending time in Korea and Germany. After 25 years as a machinist at Halstead, he worked through retirement for 25 more years at Honeywell (Alta).

Bill and Barbara did everything together, they enjoyed playing cards, bowling and golfing. Bill was a loving family man, coaching his children’s sports teams and driving his grandchildren to activities. He will be dearly missed.

He was a former member of Portersville Presbyterian Church, currently worshipping at St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church and St. Luke the Evangelist Roman Catholic Parish. Bill was a member of the Zelienople American Legion Post 474, the Harmony Moose Lodge 957 and the German Club on the north side.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 51 years, Barbara Joan (Bogacki) Lehman; his children, Jason (Anne) Lehman of Cranberry Township, Jada (Kevin) Lehman of Harmony and Jordanna (John) Bucciere of Baden; his grandchildren, Camaria (Tucker), Madison (Matt) and Amos; his brother and sister, Ron (Deb) Lehman and Sue Gillgrist; his sisters-in-law, Sue Lehman and Deb Lehman; and several other brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Margie Weitzel; his brothers, Robert Lehman Jr. and Wayne Lehman; and his brothers-in-law, Ron Weitzel and Bob Gillgrist.

LEHMAN — Friends and family of William Dean Lehman, who died Friday, June 9, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Gregory R.C. Church-Divine Grace Parish, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople, with the Rev. Joseph A. Carr as celebrant.

Bill will be laid to rest with military honors at Pinewood Memorial Gardens in Cranberry Township.

Memorial donations can be made in Bill’s honor to Lutheran SeniorLife Foundation, 105 Burgess Drive, Zelienople, PA 16063, to benefit the Passavant Retirement Community.
