Robert Glenn
Beloved father Robert “Bob” Allan Glenn, 63, of Butler, died on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, of a heart attack at his camp in Marienville, Pa. He was born June 5, 1959, in Butler, and was the son of the late William Lowrey and Lucille (Maddalena) Glenn.
Bob served in the U.S. Air Force and graduated from the University of Maryland. He lived in Ellicott City, Md., for most of his adult life, and worked as a geographic analyst for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency of the United States Department of Defense. He was an avid historian and expert outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and foraging, as well as cooking for friends and family. Bob instilled a lifelong love of reading and nature in his children.
He is survived by two daughters, Alison Kathleen Glenn of Baltimore, Md., and Laura Glenn O’Carroll (Patrick) of Chicago, Ill.; and their sister, Rose Margaret Glenn; two grandchildren, Sverre Forrest and Paloma Maddalena O’Carroll; his brother, William L. Glenn II (Sheila) of Lawrenceville, Ga.; his sister, Patricia English (John) of Butler; and many nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jacquelyn Marshall.
