Massage therapist now faces rape charges

CRANBERRY TWP — A massage therapist charged with sexually assaulting two female customers now faces charges of raping another customer.

Casey James Hardin, 22, of Ambridge, Beaver County, is accused of the assaults while he worked at Massage Envy on Route 228.

According to court documents, Hardin now is charged with rape, aggravated indecent assault and indecent exposure after a third victim stepped forward.

The additional charges were filed Friday.

The Butler Eagle does not identify victims of sexual assault.

According to police, the woman reported being raped by Hardin on March 16, 2007, during a massage.

In a preliminary hearing Thursday, Hardin waived to court one count of aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault in each of the two previous cases.

The women told police they were inappropriately touched during their massage therapy sessions May 8 and May 20, 2007.

Hardin, a former resident of Show Low, Ariz., moved to Beaver County in 2006. He had been worked at the Cranberry business since January 2007.

His preliminary hearing on the new charges is April 25 before interim District Judge Joseph O'Donnell Jr.

Hardin is en route to the Butler County Prison, where he will be held on $20,000 bail.
