Jack C. Warner, 74, of Pleasantville, Venango County, died at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday at the Titus-ville Area Hospital.

Born June 24, 1933, in Titusville, Crawford County, he was the son of Calvin and Thelma Kerr Warner.

He attended Titusville High School. He had been a machinist and was last employed by Quaker State for 15 years.

Mr. Warner was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed trapping, hunting and fishing. He also was a musician, played guitar and other instruments and was in several bands during his younger days. He loved to square dance and polka.

He was a member of the Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department, where he was dispatcher for second base.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Barker Warner, whom he married June 22, 1957, in Titusville; four children, James L. Warner and his wife, Paula J., of Centerville, Brenda Evans and her husband, Brian, of Prospect, John M. Seyler and his wife, Debbie, of Jamestown, N.Y., and Scott Seyler of Warren; several foster children; 10 grandchildren, including a granddaughter, Alita Haniwalt and her husband, Tim, of Butler; and three great-grandchildren.

He also is survived by three brothers, Donald Warner and his wife, Verna, Kenneth Warner and his wife, Wilma, and Philip Warner and his wife, Karen, all of Pleasantville; two sisters, Sue Peterson and her husband, Richard, of Cambridge Springs and Grace Warner and her husband, Russ, of Union City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A brother, Carl "Dewey" Baron, and a sister, Betty Southwick preceded him in death.

<B>WARNER</B> — Friends of Jack C. Warner, who died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home</B>, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, where the service will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be at the Curry Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department, Pleasantville, PA 16341.
