9:18 p.m. Tuesday - A car driven by Daniel Hetherington, 42, of Pittsburgh collided with a bicycle operated by Sharon Voeller, 19, of Butler at the intersection of West New Castle and North Chestnut streets. Voeller's passenger, Jaylin Stowers, 6, had minor injuries but wasn't taken to a hospital for treatment. No one else was hurt.9:35 p.m. Thursday - Bruce Locke, 34, of Butler was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant. He was later returned to Butler County Prison.12:21 a.m. Friday - Justin Osborne of Prospect reported a hit-and-run accident in which an unknown vehicle struck his vehicle while it was parked at the Armstrong parking lot at Main and Pearl streets between 5 p.m. and 12 a.m. Thursday.10:21 p.m. Tuesday - Orrin Bedell of Butler reported a hit-and-run accident in which an unknown vehicle struck his vehicle while it was parked outside his residence at 319 N. Chestnut St.
6:30 p.m. Friday - Michael Hedrick, 35, of Karns City was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a disturbance call at his residence. Police found a crack cocaine smoking pipe and related items.10:19 a.m. July 7 - An unknown person defrauded Douglas Weaver, 16, of Portersville through the Internet. Weaver paid $4,695 for a vehicle the seller didn't own. Police are investigating.Thursday - Leslie and Robert Mortimer of Portersville reported the theft of an unspecified amount of money from their checking account via the use of an ATM in Hanoi, Vietnam, between 12 a.m. Wednesday and 12 a.m. Thursday. Anyone with information regarding the theft should call state police at 724-284-8100.Friday - Stanzione Scrap Yard in Clinton Township reported the theft of $400 worth of scrap from its Brewer Road site between 12 a.m. July 1 and 12 a.m. July 5.
1:45 a.m. Thursday - Lennie Harvey Jr., 23, of Columbus, Ohio, was charged with stealing a purse owned by Candace McFeaters, 22, of Grove City at Howie's Pub on Franklin Road in Jackson Township. The purse contained $300. After being arraigned before District Judge Lawrence Silvis, Harvey was placed in the Mercer County Prison in lieu of $35,000 straight bond.
