Bernice L. Thieleman Kelly, 95, of Mars, Adams Township, passed away on Saturday evening, May 27, 2023, at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born in Adams Township on Sept. 20, 1927, she was the daughter of the late E. Raymond and Marie L. Kidd Thieleman.

A homemaker, Bernice attended LifePointe Alliance Church in Mars and was a former member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Evans City.

She loved sitting on her porch looking at the flowers, going for long car rides, getting a fish sandwich at McDonald's and ice cream cones.

Surviving are her daughter, Shari Galabinski (Mark) of Mars; her sons, Timothy Kelly (Pat) of Mars and Thomas Kelly (Charlene) of Allentown; her grandchildren, Erin, Scott and Cliff Kelly, Jack, Meg and Katie Kelly and Kelliann Galabinski and Clare Gill; her great-grandchildren, Wes, Zeke, Silas, Nehemiah, Sophie, Ariah, Bodie and Levi; her brothers, George F. and William J. Thieleman, both of Mars; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas S. Kelly, who died on June 29, 1965; her sisters, Eleanor M. Thieleman and Frances P. Baillie; and her brothers, Elmer E. and Donald C. Thieleman.

KELLY — Friends of Bernice L. Thieleman Kelly, who died Saturday, May 27, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at LifePointe Alliance Church, 997 Route 228, Mars, with the Rev. Paul Cope officiating.

Burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Township.
