Constance Lee "Connie" Potyka Walsh, 75, of Butler went to meet her Heavenly Father at 4 p.m. Thursday.

Born Aug. 26, 1934, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Andrew M. Potyka and Sarah M. Hutchinson Potyka.

At age 10, Connie suffered a bout with cerebral spinal meningitis, which she survived, but she was left deaf from it.

Connie was a retirement claims specialist, retiring from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management in Boyers, after 26 years.

She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She also loved sewing, making crafts and gardening.

Connie was a member of the Faith United Presbyterian Church.

Connie is survived by three daughters, Terri Kaylor and her husband, Bob, of Butler, Holly Orzechowicz and her husband, Steve, of Miami, Fla., and Robin Walsh of Pittsburgh; a sister, Patricia L. Walters and her husband, Bill, of Butler; a brother, Andrew M. Potyka Jr. and his wife, Pat, of Butler; an uncle and aunt, Andrew Yaracs Jr. and his wife, Sophia, of Butler; five grandchildren, Joshua Kaylor of Erie, Amy Giallombardo and her husband, Dominic, of Lyndora, and Rebecca, Casey and Amanda Orzechowicz of Miami, Fla.

She is also survived by her former husband Edward Walsh, to whom she was married for 23 years, and a number of nieces and nephews.

<B>WALSH</B> — A memorial service for Constance Lee "Connie" Potyka Walsh, who died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Faith United Presbyterian Church. A brief reception will follow. Arrangements are by the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home.</B>In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N.
