Monday — Police want to hear from anyone who saw a Feb. 17 hit-and-run crash in the Alameda Plaza near the Big Lots store. One of the vehicles was a green GMCSonoma pickup truck. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.

7:30 a.m. Monday — Pickup trucks driven by John Perry, 53, and Patricia Duerring, 54, both of Butler crashed on ice-covered Mahood and Red Dog roads in Center Township. Duerring's pickup after the crash struck several pine trees. Police said she was taken with moderate injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital. She was wearing a seat belt.6:50 a.m. Monday — Asport utility vehicle driven by Sharon Smith, 30, of Butler skidded off ice-covered Glenwood Way in Center Township and struck a utility pole. The pole was sheared in half. Smith and a passenger, Jay Smith, 36, no address given, suffered minor injuries. Neither was wearing a seat belt.12:28 p.m. Thursday — An SUVdriven by Victor Rikal, 40, bumped into the rear of an unmarked state police car driven by Cpl. Stephen Russo on Cunningham Street in Butler. Russo, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.2:30 a.m. Wednesday — Two men are suspected of attempting to steal scrap metal at Penn United Technology, Inc. in Jefferson Township. Charges are pending against the suspects, who police identified only as being from Sarver and Tarentum, Allegheny County.

10:17 a.m. Feb. 20 — An employee at Northland Ford on Route 19 reported the theft of four new tires and aluminum rims from the lot sometime overnight. The value of the items was $2,622.

Friday — Two unknown burglars took a bag of $150 in coins and a lock box containing personal documents from a Freeport Road home in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County. Police said the suspects possibly drove away in a dark-colored Jeep Cherokee or Wagoner. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the barracks at 724-543-2011.

6:20 a.m. Monday — Apickup truck driven by Ryan Parton, no age given, of Grove City and a car driven by Gail Englehart, no age given, of Mercer collided on Route 58 at the Sheetz store in Pine Township, Mercer County. Englehart, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for minor injuries at Grove City Medical Center.
