James Renwick Jones, 69, of Cabot passed away Wednesday at the Allegheny General Hospital.

He was born in Cabot on the family farm, where he lived his entire life, on May 31, 1942, to the late Clarence and Audrey McConnell Jones of Cabot.

Jim had worked at Pullman Standard for 16 years where he was a welder. After Pullman, he was a driver for Butler Motor Coach. He retired from Penn United Technologies in 2005 after 20 years. He is a current Jefferson Township supervisor, where he was serving his third term.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, farming and being on the tractor. Jim was a lifelong member of the Cabot United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Barbara Jones; two sons, Jim C. Jones and his wife, Correne, and Daniel Jones and his wife, Mandy; and one daughter, Pamela Koller and her husband, Franz. He was “Pappy” to his six grandchildren, Zach, Katie, Hunter, Abby, Nick, and Carter. Also surviving are two brothers, Dwight (Alice) Jones of Butler and Roy (Bert Zema) Jones of Cabot; and four sisters, Myrna (Robert) Montgomery of Cabot, Freda (Joseph) Olean of Butler, Marian Jones of Sarver and Eunice Schoettker of Cabot.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Carl Jones; and one sister, Virginia Crist.

<B>JONES</B> — Friends of James Renwick Jones, who died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, Saxonburg.Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Cabot United Methodist Church with the Rev.
