More than 400 earn degrees from Grove City College
Grove City College conferred 435 bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the arts and sciences at the College's 143rd Commencement on Saturday, May 20.
The graduates heard from alumna Karen Hanlon, a 1992 graduate of the college and current executive vice president and chief operating officer of Highmark Health, who shared lessons about the power of gratitude and positivity. She said those qualities, fostered at Grove City College, had guided her successful career and family life, according to a Saturday, May 20 news release from the college.
President Paul J. McNulty said the graduates had all achieved something significant.
“You have earned a bachelor’s degree from one of the most academically challenging colleges in the country,” he said at the ceremony. “More importantly, your education has been grounded in a vision for you as a person made in the image of God and called to love him with your heart, mind, soul, and strength and to love your neighbor as yourself.”
