4:45 Wednesday — A car driven by Sherri Selfridge, 39, of Butler was traveling on Third Avenue when it struck the rear of a parked vehicle, whose driver, Steven Braden, 37, of Butler, was inside. No injuries were reported. Selfridge was charged with driving under the influence.12:35 a.m. Friday — An SUV driven by Ryan Elliott, 28, of Butler and a vehicle driven by Patricia Boyd, 38, no address given, collided on North Street. The impact caused Boyd's vehicle to hit a parked car owned by Diane Halstead of Butler, which then hit a second parked vehicle owned by Deborah Hilliard of Butler. Elliott received a cut on his forehead but refused medical treatment. His passenger, Greg Crotzer, 31, of Butler, was not injured. Boyd also was not injured. Elliott was charged with driving under the influence.10:13 a.m. Wednesday — A thief grabbed the purse of a 28-year-old Saxonburg woman and knocked her down on North Jackson Street next to the city tier garage. The woman was not injured. The man, described as a white male with brown hair wearing a red and black flannel shirt with dark pants, was last seen running down South Jackson Street. Anyone with information about the purse snatching should call city police at 724-287-7743.

10:50 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Dennis Revi, 61, of Freeport and an SUV driven by Freeman Freshcorn, age unavailable, of New Castle collided on Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township. No injuries were reported.1:50 a.m. Friday — Brandon Berns, 20, of Schuykill Haven, Pa., was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Kiester Road in Slippery Rock Township.2:09 a.m. Friday — William Burr, 21, of Evans City was charged with theft, receiving stolen property, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and trespass after allegedly driving onto Drushel Farm on Prospect Road in Evans City and stealing gasoline. While investigating the theft, police found the marijuana and paraphernalia in Burr's possession.

Thursday — Robert McKinney, 18, and Jesse Underwood, 18, both of Grove City, were charged with theft. The men are accused of breaking into two vehicles owned by Jason Monarch, 30, of Titusville and Marilyn Barszczowski, 53, of New Wilmington in the parking lot of Grove City Medical Center in Grove City between midnight Wednesday and 9:30 p.m. Thursday. McKinney and Underwood were arraigned before District Judge James McMahon and placed in the Mercer County Prison in lieu of $2,500 bond.

5 p.m. Nov. 13 — Kari Eppinger, 23, of 123 Porters Cove, Jackson Township, was arrested on theft and receiving stolen property charges after a surveillance video captured her allegedly taking four $500 money orders from her employer, the Buy N Fly convenience store at 2576 Evans City Road. Police said the storeowners were able to void the $2,000 in money orders before any could be cashed.
