Gail C. Riles Allender, 83, of Bridgeville unexpectedly passed away Sunday.

She was the beloved wife of John W. Allender, who is deceased. She was the loving mother of Darlene (Al) Hodil, and Donna (Vern) Smith; cherished grandmother of Bryan (Alycia) Hodil, Michael (Megan) Hodil, Lindsay (Ricky) Schweiger, Amanda (Jonathan) Newcomer, Eric Reinstadtler, Erann (Eric) Heltzell, Jason (Lyndsey) Smith and Shawn Smith. She was the caring great grandmother of Baylee, Maysan, Addyson, Matthew, Kinsely and Mason; and sister of Louise Hale and the late William Riles.

Gail was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church and the Embroiderer’s Guild of America.

ALLENDER — Friends of Gail C. Allender, who died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, will be welcome from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at

BEINHAUER-FRYER, 430 Washington Pike, Bridgeville. A funeral service will be held there at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
