Mary Agnes and Bill McKay

Bill and Mary Agnes McKay of Butler celebrated 40 years of marriage.

The McKays were married March 21, 1970, in Pittsburgh.

They have four children, Maureen Stephen of Belle Vernon, Susan Ostapchenko of McKees Rocks, Timothy McKay of Virginia and Jonathan McKay of Butler. Another child, James William McKay, is deceased.

They have six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The McKays are both retired from Slippery Rock University, where they were professors in the College of Education for a total of 62 years.

Mrs. McKay currently operates Taco Talk, a Spanish school for children, in Butler.

Mr. McKay is a member of St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church, where he has been an elder, a Sunday school teacher and has served on numerous committees.

Mrs. McKay is a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, where she is a lector, a greeter and involved with the Spanish ministry.
