Rhoads sets record as Rockets soar to victory

Jence Rhoads scored four goals, setting a school record for career goals in the process, as the Slippery Rock girls soccer team pounded Maplewood 13-0 on Tuesday.

Kelsey Drennen added two goals and an assist, and Karly Rhoads and Kelsey Powell each added a goal and an assist.

Melanie Prelac, Ali Doyle, Mallory Ralston, Jessica Regrut and Catherine Fodor also scored for the Rockets (12-0), who will play at Mercer Thursday.

Wilmington 3, Grove City 1 — Courtney Bright scored for the Eagles off an assist from Samantha Lawrence in this home defeat.

<B>Mars 4, Highlands 1 — </B>Michael Page and Nick Perri each scored a goal and added an assist to lead Mars.Tim Frigot and Ryan McKenzie also scored for the Planets (12-0), and Andy Knauff added two assists.<B>Pine-Richland 2, Butler 0 —</B> The Rams handed the Golden Tornado their first loss of the season on Tuesday. Butler (11-1-1) will play at North Hills Thursday.
