Patricia Cirillo-Ahrens
Patricia "Sissy" Lynn Cirillo-Ahrens, 54, of Slippery Rock Township died at 3:45 p.m. Monday at UPMC Mercy, Pittsburgh, of complications from an accident which occurred April 24, 2009.
Born Aug. 22, 1954, in Butler County, she was the daughter of Joseph D. Cirillo and Patricia E. Thompson-Cirillo.
She graduated from Slippery Rock High School in 1973.
Patricia was one of the first female car salespersons at Frasier Chevrolet in Slippery Rock, and she later owned and operated Countryside Carpet & Furniture in Slippery Rock.
In high school, she was active in intramural sports and was one of the first females to play on the boys Little League team in Eau Claire.
She loved outdoor activities, which included gardening, fishing, playing golf and vacations to the beach. Above all, she was devoted to her bichon, Pup-Pups.
Patricia is survived by her parents, Joseph D. and Patricia E. Cirillo of Slippery Rock; a son, Grant Thomas Ahrens, 19, still at home; and three sisters, Bobbi Augustine of Grove City, Lori Lanigan of Harrisville and Becki and her husband, John Suesser, of Slippery Rock. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, Mitchell and his wife, Amy, Augustine of Grove City, Lindsay Lanigan of Harrisville and Jessi Suesser of Slippery Rock; and two great-nephews, Parker and Peter Augustine, both of Grove City.
Patricia was preceded in death by two brothers, Bradley Cirillo and Peter Cirillo; and two brothers-in-law, Jim Augustine and David Lanigan.
<B>AHRENS </B>— The family of Patricia "Sissy" Lynn Cirillo-Ahrens, who died Monday, May 25, 2009, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Pastor Jeffrey St. Claire will officiate. Interment will be in the Slippery Rock Cemetery, Slippery Rock Township.
