Mars Area High School junior Reva Kalbhor was selected as the 2022-23 U.S. Air Force Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Cadet of the Year for Pennsylvania.

Kalbhor, a member of the Pine-Richland and Mars Area U.S. Air Force JROTC, is authorized to wear the Outstanding Cadet Ribbon with a Silver Star, and she will advance to the second round to be considered as one of the top eight cadets, one from each region.

If selected, she will then move on to be considered for the AFJROTC Headquarters’ Cadet of the Year.

Cadets are selected for the honor based on their overall GPA, community service efforts, cadet-led activities, counselor and instructor recommendations, leadership positions held both in and out of JROTC, and physical training score. Nominees must be a third year, junior cadet.
