Beginning at 8 p.m. May 15 and nightly through May 20, crews will be erecting bridge beams for the new Portersville Bridge.

A recent news release from the state Department of Transportation said drivers are reminded that traffic on State Route 488 will be reduced to a single lane with flagging during operations during construction.

Following the May 15 through 20 detour, two-lane traffic on State Route 488 will resume.

The anticipated completion date for this $6.3 million bridge replacement project is June, 2024. The existing bridge will be replaced with a two-span, steel bridge.
