Rimersburg Memorial Day ceremony scheduled
The Shearer-Shick Post 454 of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7132 will host Memorial Day services in Rimersburg, Clarion County.
The Memorial Sunday service will begin at 3 p.m. May 28 at Veteran’s Memorial Park. Bob Carmichael will serve as master of ceremonies, and there will be an invocation, prayer and benediction at the service.
The annual parade will begin at 9 a.m. Monday, May 29, at the former Rimersburg Elementary School, and the route will end at a cemetery where a memorial program will ensue.
Eighth grade students will recite the Gettysburg Address, “In Flander’s Fields” and “America’s Answer.”
In case of inclement weather, the program will take place at Union High School.
