Olive M. Cook Yunk
Olive M. Cook Yunk, 78, of Allegheny Township, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away early Sunday morning at her home.
Born Oct. 27, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Esther Schmude Cook.
She was a caretaker at a personal care home in Etna for many years.
She loved animals, plants, reading, long drives in the country and spending time with her great-granddaughters, Evelyn and Alexis.
Surviving are Raymond G. Jr. and Curt Yunk, both of Pittsburgh, Elaine Nichols of North Carolina, Kimberly Winter and Shelly Taylor, both of Pittsburgh and Amanda Ruckdeschel and Thomas Shanley; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Earlene; and her husband Raymond G. Yunk Sr., who passed away July 12, 2003.
