Lindsay Road getting treated soon

There will be a lane restriction from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 8 through 12 on Lindsay Road in Jackson Township so the state Department of Transportation can apply a “high friction surface treatment” on portions of the road.

According to a news release from PennDOT, high friction surface treatment involves the application of aggregate to the pavement using a binder to restore and/or maintain pavement friction. The higher pavement friction helps motorists maintain better control in both dry and wet driving conditions.

The area of application is between the intersections of Ramsey Road and Route 68.
