2:40 p.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by Charles Maxwell, 62, of Lyndora backed into a vehicle driven by Joseph Wolinski, 79, of Hilliards that was stopped in the Butler Memorial Hospital pickup zone. No injuries were reported. Maxwell was cited for careless driving.
6:10 p.m. Friday — A vehicle driven by Jessica Roach, 18, of Mars slid on an ice patch on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township and hit a guardrail before going over it and down 40 feet into the woods. Roach and her passenger, Kara Jeffries, 19, of Harmony were wearing seat belts and were not injured.4:51 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Tracy Sellers, 39, of Butler and a pickup truck driven by Bruce Bartley, 25, of Worthington collided on Tower Road in Clinton Township. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and were not injured. Sellers was cited for driving on roads laned for traffic.Thursday — Someone caused unspecified damages to the rear door of Bryan Powell's Portersville residence at 123 Hipps Terrace Lane between Sept. 1 and Jan. 18. Anyone with information about the incident should call police at 724-284-8100.6:05 p.m. Wednesday — Someone driving a full-size blue truck with a loud exhaust stole a $50 red generator from Peanuts Garage off Oneida Valley Road in Center Township. Anyone with information about the theft should call state police at 724-284-8100.Wednesday — Brittany Popolis, 19, of Slippery Rock reported someone stole an Apple iPod in a pink case and a Monster Card charging unit from her roommate's vehicle while it was parked at Pine Glen Apartments between 1 and 6 p.m. Police are investigating.11:27 a.m. Wednesday — Lucas McConahy, 19, of Zelienople was arrested for possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.10:15 p.m. Jan. 9 — A car driven by Charles Varganson, 49, of Sharon skidded and struck a guardrail off Interstate 79. The driver was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. He was cited for not driving at a safe speed.Jan. 7 — Someone caused $500 worth of damage to the door of Albert Urhin's trailer at Slippery Rock Campground in Worth Township while attempting to gain entry between Oct. 6 and Jan. 7. Anyone with information should call state police at 724-284-8100.Jan. 6 — Someone stole an unspecified amount of money from a locked safe box in Kem Ziegler's residence at 173 Main St. in Connoquenessing Borough between Dec. 31 and Jan. 6.
