Franklin TWP, Beaver County — The Red Barn Players will present "Romantic Comedy" for nine performances starting Friday to close the summer season.

The show, written by Bernard Slade, is directed by Annette Quinn of Mars.

Performances are set for 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and Sept. 25 to 27 and Oct. 1 to 4 at the Red Barn Theatre on Route 288, the Ellwood-Zelienople Road.

"Romantic Comedy" focuses on Phoebe Craddock and Jason Carmichael, playwrights who meet and decide to collaborate just as he is getting married. Their relationship produces first a failure and then a string of successes and their repartée remains sharp and witty as their unrequited interest in each other gathers energy over a 10-year period, until some resolution finally is in sight.

Cast members are: Tom Bickert of Ellwood City, Jessa Hvizdalek of Cranberry Township, Paul Brenner of Beaver Falls, Mary Beth Seipp of Mars, Toniaray DiGiacomo of Gibsonia and Suzanne Masartis of Pittsburgh.
