Rock Dance Company members Ashley Kostelnik, front, Gina Forder, middle, and Kaitlyn Dye from Slippery Rock University perform their show Monday at Connoquenessing Elementary School. The visit wrapped up the group's outreach, which also included Meridian Elementary as well as schools in Lawrence and Mercer counties. Earlier this year, Rock Dance performed at Summit, Emily Brittain and Slippery Rock elementaries and Passavant Retirement Center in Zelienople. The dance company's mission is to expose children to the wonders of live dance. The 30- to 40-minute show includes hip hop, tap, modern and contemporary partnering along with audience participation.
