Betty L. Mularchik
Betty L. Mularchik, 76, of 221 Campbell Ave. died early Sunday morning at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.
Born Aug. 13, 1931, in Worthington, she was a daughter of Ambrose C. Crawford and Beulah Shakley Crawford Emery.
She was an active and devoted member of the St. Andrew Orthodox Church in Lyndora, where she had been a past president of the Sisterhood of the Altar. She also had been a kitchen volunteer at the Tanglewood Senior Center bingos.
Mrs. Mularchik had worked in the production control department at the Bobbie Brooks clothing company in Butler for 20 years until the plant closed in 1986. She then was a home health care aide for St. Barnabas Home and retired in 1997.
Surviving are her husband, John Mularchik, whom she married Nov. 27, 1952; two brothers, Richard (Connie) Crawford of Kittanning and Robert (Marie) Crawford of Worthington; four sisters, Mrs. Louis (Louise) Giff, Mrs. June Smith, Mrs. Jean Smith and Patricia Smith, all of Worthington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Budd; and an infant sister, Vivian Crawford.
<B>MULARCHIK </B>— Friends of Betty L. Mularchik, who died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Andrew Orthodox Church, 201 Penn Ave., Lyndora. The Rev. Joseph Wargo will officiate.
