Marilyn Huberman

Marilyn Huberman, 79, of the Grove Manor Nursing Care Center, Grove City, died at 7:50 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Grove City Medical Center.

Born Jan. 23, 1930, in Manhattan, N.Y., she was the daughter of Joseph and Gussie Krumoltz Hahn.

She graduated from City College in New York.

She married Jerome "Jerry" Huberman on July 14, 1951. They made their home in Levittown, N.Y. After raising her three children, she worked at the Nassau County Medical Center as a medical secretary.

She was a member of the Israel Community Center where she was an active member, involved on many committees.

For more than 30 years, she sang barbershop music with the Island Hills Chapter of Sweet Adeline's. She enjoyed boating, traveling, knitting, needlepoint, reading, spending time with family and friends and especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are two sons and their spouses, Alan F. and Leah Huberman of Lindenhurst, N.Y., and Charles E. and Deborah Huberman of Oakdale, N.Y.; and a daughter and her husband, Beth E. and Timothy J. Campbell of Slippery Rock. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Elizabeth, Matthew, David, Joshua, Jarred, and Joseph Huberman, Jessica and Katie Riggs, and Samantha Campbell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome "Jerry" Huberman, and by her parents.

<B>HUBERMAN</B> — A funeral service for Marilyn Huberman, who died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, was observed Sunday at the Star of David Memorial Chapel, West Babylon, N.Y. Interment immediately followed in the New Montefiore Cemetery, Babylon, Suffolk County, N.Y.Local arrangements were handled by the <B>SMITH FUNERAL HOME</B>, Slippery Rock.
