SRU’s Virata named Athlete of Week
SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University sophomore sprinter A.J. Virata has been named PSAC West Male Track and Field Athlete of the Week.
Virata won the 100 meters at the recent John Papa Invitational, running a conference-best time of 10.62 seconds. Hee was also second in the 200 and ran the second leg of SRU’s winning 4x100 relay.
