Rotary Club prepares for Shred-It Day
The Rich-Mar Rotary Satellite Club will have its annual Shred-It Day on May 6, which benefits Rotarian projects for Butler and Allegheny counties and helps dispose of unwanted documents.
People can bring their paper documents, bank statements, credit card statements, confidential reports, paper, newspapers, magazines, mail, photos and file folders to be safely destroyed by Shred-it Document Destruction’s mobile shredder. Participants don’t even need to exit their vehicles.
Staples, paper clips, rubber bands or binders do not need to be removed when getting the shredding service. Items including plastics, batteries and metals, as well as clothing, cannot be shredded.
The service will be available from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on May 6 in the parking lot of Mars Area High School. The cost is by donation, and customers can decide how much to give, according to a news release from Rich-Mar rotary Satellite Club.
