Folmer

BUTLER TWP — The Butler Branch of the American Association of University Women recently presented its Gateway to Equity award to Kate Folmer, director of the Paul Laurence Dunbar Community Center.

The award is designated for individuals, groups or organizations that promotes equity for all women and girls, lifelong education and positive societal change.

In addition to her work at the community center, Folmer was honored for working with the Butler YWCA to present the sixth annual Martin Luther King Jr. Community Breakfast.

Folmer was presented the award during the LUNAfest film festival held March 15 at Butler County Community College.
