Dr. Thomas S. Gregg

Dr. Thomas S. Gregg, 83, of Butler died Monday evening in West Penn Hospital.

He was born in Oakmont, June 10, 1925. He was the son of the late Walter Caldwell Gregg and Alice Stewart Gregg.

He had been a resident of Butler since 1966.

Dr. Gregg was a radiologist at Butler Memorial Hospital for 34 years.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

He was an avid gardener, naturalist and woodworker.

He is survived by his wife, Jean B. Gregg of Butler; two sons, Michael D. Gregg of Livermore, Calif., and Thomas S. (Tammi) Gregg Jr. of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Judith (Kevin) Gregg-Holden of Fox Chapel; and six grandchildren: Abigail Gregg, 18; Amity Gregg, 15; Fiona Gregg, 13; Caldwell Gregg Holden, 10; Stewart Kennedy-Gregg, 5; and Lillian Kennedy-Gregg, 3.

<B>GREGG</B> — There will be no viewing. Family and friends of Dr. Thomas S. Gregg, who died Monday, May 18, 2009, are invited to a gathering from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday in Tom's gardens at the family residence.The family respectfully suggests that memorial contributions, in Tom's honor, be made to the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, 800 Waterfront Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.Arrangements are by <B>Thomas M. Smith Funeral Home and Crematory</B>, Blawnox.
