Emma Covert hit two home runs — giving her five in three games — drove in seven runs and scored three times in Moniteau’s 25-10 softball win over Clarion.

Covert had four hits in the game and was the winning pitcher in relief. Brianna Rottman contributed two singles, two RBI and four runs scored. Alex Stewart had four hits, including a double, and three RBI. Lily Staab homered, had three hits and three RBI.

Ady Williams also homered for the Warriors. She tripled amd collected four RBI as well. Emily Staab doubled and singled, driving in two runs. Moniteau collected 20 hits as a team.

Knoch 7, McKeesport 2 — Sylvia Luffy allowed four hits in five innings for the Knights, who won their sixth straight game. Grace Hensch and Madi Gardner had two hits each for Knoch. Lindsay Wise and Brooke Bastin both had two-run singles.

Baseball

Slippery Rock (6-2) posted a pair of wins this week, defeating Titusville, 7-5, on Friday after knocking off Conneaut, 8-1, on Wednesday.

Austan Runtas was the winning pitcher against Titusville, striking out five in 6.2 innings pitched. Dylan Gordon scattered eight hits in a complete-game effort against Conneaut. Brett Galcik had three hits in both games, collecting eight RBI.

Slippery Rock travels to Hickory on Monday.
