Cubs boxer Adams fighting for title

Former Butler Cubs boxer Lucas Adams, 4-1-2 as a professional, will be fighting Michael Manna (6-3) in a 10-round cruiserweight ABF championship bout Saturday at the penitentiary in Moundsville, W.Va.

Also Saturday, Cubs boxer Damien Kast will fight Gabriel Provins for a Golden Glove championship at the Sports Complex in Monroeville.

New jumbotron set for Lernerville track

BUFFALO TWP — The 2023 Lernerville Speedway racing season begins Friday night with increased purses for each division and a new, large jumbotron will be sitting atop the infield scoreboard.

The jumbotron will display the livestream of LernervilleTV and feature instant replays, unique angles not available from the grandstands, live timing and scoring, along with pre-recorded interviews with drivers in the pits before the races.

Winner’s shares for the Sprint and Late Model features are now $2,000, compared to $1,617 last season. The Modified feature winners will receive $1,600, up from $1,271 last year. The Pro Stocks winner’s share is $600, up from $405.

General admission tickets will be $18 this season, children 10 and under allowed in free with a paying adult. Pit passes remain at $30.
