Preston Park gets visitors every Monday morning.
A volunteer group that came to be known as the Monday Morning Maintenance crew has been going to Preston Park every Monday in the spring for about 11 years. Each week, they clean the park by raking leaves, removing brush and cleaning the benches.
Tony Stagno, executive director of the Friends of Preston Park Foundation, said anyone can get involved with helping at the park.
“If anybody wants to join us, come to the parking lot at 9,” Stagno said. “We make sure everybody has a job to do, and, at the end, everyone feels good about the work they did.”
