Robert O. Wenzelburger, 84, of Zelienople died Saturday at the Passavant Retirement Community, Zelienople.

Born Sept. 21, 1925, in Bellevue, he was the son of the late Otto and Dorthea (Poerschke) Wenzelburger.

Mr. Wenzelburger was an avid fisherman and gardener. He always planted a garden each year and spent many enjoyable hours tending to his plants.

Mr. Wenzelburger was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed going to polka festivals with his wife, Josephine.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine (Janick) Wenzelburger; two sons, Robert A. Wenzelburger and his wife, Barbara, of Zelienople and Bill Wenzelburger and his wife, Terri, of Pittsburgh; two daughters, Sue Bilecky and her husband, Alan, of Oakdale and Janice Kapko and her husband, Ken, of Stow, Ohio; and a half-sister, Miriam (Voelker) Wilms and her husband, Howard, of Parma, Ohio. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

<B>WENZELBURGER</B> — Friends of Robert O. Wenzelburger, who died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Additional visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in Seaman Memorial Chapel at the Passavant Retirement Community, 401 S. Main St., Zelienople, where funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment will be in the Pinewood Memorial Gardens, Cranberry Township.Memorial donations may be made to VNA Hospice, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001 or to the Passavant Retirement Community, 401 S.
