ZELIENOPLE — The Zelienople Historical Society will present a garden talk featuring area horticulturist Jessica Walliser from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Strand Theater, 119 N. Main St.

Walliser will discuss “Forgotten Garden Combinations.”

CHICORA — A spring craft show will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 12 at the Chicora Volunteer Fire Department, 202 W. Slippery Rock St., Chicora.The show includes a Chinese auction. Lunch and drinks are available all day.

Penn State certified Butler County master gardeners will teach a four-week series of classes for the home gardener at Alameda Park.The classes will focus on horticulture skills and techniques for successful gardening experiences including soil preparation, gardening tools, native plants, invasive plants, container gardening and landscape design.Classes will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursdays between April 24 and May 15.To register, call the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department at 724-284-5383.
